This particular collage reimagines Mohammad Shah Sayyid's tomb. the erstwhile ruler of Sayyid dynasty sleeps within the see-through fences of Lodhi Gardens. I have painted his tomb as a spectre of colour and drama, landscaping it with the pressed flowers and leaves that I collected from Lodhi Gardens.
Everyday, several residents and visitors of Delhi, visit its certified green quarters ie. the Lodhi Gardens. Apart from hosting fantastic plants, birds, trees, dogs and human beings, it is also an abode of the forever asleep bodies of queens, kings, and saints from Delhi Sultanate's medieval era. They have slept within their embellished cenotaphs and tombs, enclosed within grand architecture. The present and living visitors of Lodhi Garden spread their sheets next to these structures and nap profusely. The dead and alive choose to sleep next to each other for finite moments of time.
